If you are a follower of my blog, you will know that learning to speak excellent English is much more than just spending a lot of money to go to useless English classes once every week.

Instead, I believe some of the important lessons you need to succeed to be an incredible English speaker are:

Know why you want to speak excellent English. What’s that one powerful reason that drives you? If you’ve not read it already, download this great free report called “SuperCharge Your English Speaking” to help you define your ‘REASON WHY’.

Forget boring and traditional teaching methods you learned in the classroom. They simply do not work. They focus too much onreading and writing…. and not enough on listening and listening and speaking and speaking. You must have heard about my “6 Secret Lessons in Inspired English“. My students love these methods. It really helps them with their English speaking development.

With great methods (my 6 Secret Lessons in Inspired English), you also need lessons. You need a great English speaking course that is affordable, uses methods that work; and provides plenty of lessons that help you understand through listening and speaking. There are literally hundreds of English speakig courses on the market. Hey naturally, I think mine is great!…. and so do my students. You can find out more about the Inspired English Product Catalogue here.

Now, although Steps ’1′, ’2′ & ’3′ are important to your spoken English success, they are only tools to help you with Step ’4′. This is by far the most important step. Without committing to this step, you won’t get anywhere. You will never become an excellent English speaking unless you do this……

You must spend at least 30 minutes every day listening to and speaking English (using the right methods and the right lessond) – I don’t mean every other day, not once a week…. I MEAN EVERY DAY!

Make it a habit. Make it a part of your success itual every simple day. If you want to be great at English speaking you must practice English speaking. Get ADDICTED to speaking English. Get obsessive with English speaking… every single day, with no exception.

Think about it… the greatest sportsmen and sportswomen that ever lived. Do you think they became the greatest at what they do by chance?

Hey! I hope you enjoyed this post. Let me know what you think by writing a comment in the box below.

I’ve been collecting what I call good English material for studying but I never use them. Even though I received your free material some time ago, I hadn’t used it before today. But now you’ve opened my eyes and I really started and loved it! Thanks a million! Tuca

It’s So Easy To Get Started Tomorrow…….

It could be starting a new English training program OR making that important phone call to a friend you have not spoken to for years OR kick starting your new healthy eating and exercise regime OR ……

But What Are You Going To Do Today?

If you wait for tomorrow then the inevitable happens. Tomorrow never comes. It never happens. Tomorrow becomes someday….. And there’s only one guarantee with someday….. it simply never happens.

Think seriously about that for a minute. Life is about living NOW. It’s about the journey. You need to enjoy that journey to it’s fullest. It’s not about being just becoming happy when you have finally reached your goals.

That is ‘someday syndrome’…. and as I said there’s only one guarantee with someday…. it simply never happens.

So What Are You Going To Do Today To Improve Your English Speaking?

I don’t mean tomorrow. I really DO mean today. What are you going to do RIGHT NOW to improve your English speaking? Here are a few ideas which may help…..

Understand the reaon why YOU MUST learn to speak English. Here’s a favourite phrase of mine….. “Speaking English fluently is not the end game. It’s your GOLDEN TICKET to fulfill your dreams. Unless you know your REASON WHY, and that it is an absolute MUST, you won’ get past GO!” If you don’t know your reason why, Step ‘1’ is to read my FREE report called “SuperCharge Your English Skeaking”. You can get a copy at http://spokenenglishonline.com/supercharge. Remember it’s free and it’s pure gold.

Do you have a written plan of what practice you must do every day to get to the English speaking level that provides you with the confidence to ‘change your world’. Do you stick to your plan every day? If not, why not. What are those little things that are stopping you from getting to where you want to get to? Spend 30 minutes right now writing down your daily plan. Write down the obstacles you have on a daily basis that stop you practicing. What are you going to do? Are you going to let those small obstacles become the VERY REASON as to why you DON’T succeed in developing excellent English speaking skills.

Who are you accountable to? Who knows what you are trying to achieve by learning to speak excellent English. If you keep it to yourself, then you are only accountable to yourself. That often leads to failure because it’s so easy to make excuses to yourself. It’s not so easy to make excuses to someone else though. Do you have a friend or member of the family who you can be accountable to? – someone that you can tell your dreams and goals and problems and frustrations; someone that can motivate and inspire you when you are having difficulties with your English learning. I know from experience that having a ‘mentor’ can be the difference between success and failure. Which do you choose?

If you have already completed my free “6 Secret Lessons in Inspired English” e-course, you know that my teaching methods are not typical….. but I know that they work. And my students keep telling me that they work. What training material are you using? Is it the BEST TRAINING METHODS to help you speak English quickly, easily and naturally….. OR are you still going to your traditional English classes with the teaching telling you to memorise word lists and learn boring grammar rules. Which do you choose? The best training methods or the traditional English classroom. I’d recommend you choose something that works. I’d recommend you choose the Inspired English Program…. you can find it here at http://spokenenglishonline.com.

Take action. In fact take massive action BUT you must also commit to complete. There’s no point in starting something today (take action) and forget about it tomorrow. It has to become part of your every day life – part of who you are – in fact, part of YOU (commit to complete).

So What Are You Going To Do Today To Improve Your English Speaking?

All I want you to do is tell me in less than 100 words in the comments box below what you’ve done today to improve your English speaking. Make it interesting. Make it exciting. Stretch yourself. Make it different…… make a difference to your life today.

What is the Inspired English Program?

The Inspired English Program is an intensive 10 module ‘how to speak English’ course combining online & offline learning tools to help develop your spoken English fluency. The focus is on speaking English through watching, listening and repeated practice. Using my simple learning methods, you will be able to have conversations in English in no time at all.

It doesn’t matter where you are, or what you are doing, the Inspired English Program provides you with the tools to learn anytime and anywhere. Whether it is focused learning on the computer using the classroom videos or the Inspired Ambition software, or audio practice whilst going to work, the Inspired English Program provides you with the right solution.

Different themes are covered on each of the 10 modules through numerous situational exercises including: introductions, shopping, eating out, socialising, travelling, etc. I have also included a personal development theme throughout the course. This will help develop your self-belief and help you to speak English with confidence.

Inspired Ambition is a full suite of on-line tools that assist in your spoken English development. It was created to complement the textbook, classroom videos and audios. You will find it of huge value. There are 7 comprehensive exercises for each of the 10 modules that test your spoken English knowledge. It also allows you to monitor your progress in speaking English through exercises that record and replay your own voice in practice situations.

The only thing I ask of you is your time and commitment to learn how to speak English.

Who is Inspired English for?

Inspired English is targeted at committed students who have some ability in reading English, but have little confidence in how to speak English. I know (in fact I guarantee) that with your commitment to learn and practice, you will be speaking English in no time. The material has been written to enable you to learn how to speak English by yourself or, even better, with a partner – this is a great way to learn a language. You make the decision; some students are better self-learners, whilst others like to learn with friends. All I ask of you is to practice speaking English whenever you can. That’s the only way you can really start to speak with confidence.

What You Will Learn With Inspired English

Inspired English is about developing your speaking fluency. It has been developed to allow you to start speaking English with confidence from the very first module. The course incorporates some of the key elements of learning a second language with confidence – short stories and conversations with Q&A sessions (we call this Quickfire) are at the heart of the course.

Every day situations form the foundation of each module; whether it is spending time with the family or going shopping with friends, you are sure to develop the skills you need to develop your spoken English fluency. You will not only learn key vocabulary and phrases, but you will start to think in English – this is important when you start having conversations with native English speakers.

I know that learning grammar can be one of the most frustrating elements of learning a new language. You needn’t worry with the Inspired English Program. Although reducing grammar mistakes is important, it is possible to develop your spoken English skills without knowing the fundamentals of your new language. To aid your spoken English learning, I have developed a new and exciting ways of learning grammar without having to learn grammar rules.

Practice is the cornerstone of learning any new skill. That is why with Inspired English there are many exercises for you to complete and conversations for you to practice. It doesn’t matter if you learning with the textbook, or the Classroom videos, or the Take-me-anywhere audios, or even the Inspired Ambition software, you will be learning through practice!

I recommend that you practice how to speak English every day – ideally for one hour. Immerse yourself in your new language. Use all the materials provided in this Inspired English Program, but all take advantage of every day life – whether it be watching English movies, listening to an English radio station, or speaking to a friend in English. Make the most of any opportunity you have. This is the best way to develop fluency in your new language.

I am convinced that if you apply what you learn through my Inspired English Program, you will be able to speak English with confidence. If you are currently frustrated with your English speaking skills, or struggling to get the job you so badly want, then it’s time to begin.

What You Will Find in Each Module

In each module you will have access to each of the following learning tools:

Text Guide.

Classroom Video Lessons & Transcripts.

Audio-visual Scenes.

Inspired Ambition on-line English Learning Software.

Take-Me-Anywhere Audios.

Because there is so much material packed into each module of my Inspired English Program, I have divided each module in the Text Guide and the Classroom Videos into 2 sections – a section ‘A’ and a section ‘B’.

Each of the learning tools in the Inspired English Program has been developed to complement each other and form the foundation of the Inspired Learning Pyramid. More details on the Inspired Learning Pyramid can be found in the very first video lesson – which is all about getting the most out of this program.

Remember that each module is packed with information including practice exercises, phrase & conversation building, short stories with question and answers, personal development themes, fun grammar exercises, audio-visual scenes that you can follow & practice, record and listen to your own voice, etc.

The English Show is BACK!

Hi guys, it’s Jack here. As promised here’s the second post of The English Show. Today I’ll be sharing with you not 1, but 3 (!) videos to help you learn excellent English.

I am particularly excited about sharing these lessons with you, because this material helps you learn grammar faster WITHOUT having to learn boring grammar rules.

I love this technique. AND so do my students. Please watch each video at least 10 times for maximum benefit. It’s the best way to learn.

In each video, you are going to hear the same story (about my family’s weekend trip to Paris), but spoken in different moments in time:

Video 1: NOW!

Video 2: Last year.

Video 3: Next year.

I hope you make the most of these lessons! As an extra bonus I have included the PDF transcripts from each video below for you to download.

How cool is that!

Do You Know What You Are Doing Wrong?

It’s great to be the top of the class…. But it’s even better if you can understand a native english speaker without getting confused.

So what are you doing wrong?

You’re learning classroom English and NOT real English. You don’t learn real English by learning words or rules.

You learn real English by listening to english conversations and stories again and again. Results don’t happen overnight though.

It takes time. But by listening you will learn to understand real english.

Text book english is not the best way to learn real english. Native people learn to understand their own language as youg children by listening.

Don’t you think you should to? Let me know what you think – post a comment in the box below.

So You Want to Learn to Speak English?

Do you know why you want to learn to speak English?

Do you know why you have failed to learn to speak English after many years of trying?

You may have already spent $1000′s on English classes, teachers, online courses, etc…… but you still can’t speak English.

Whose Fault is That?

Okay, may be the teachers weren’t the best; may be the courses used traditional teaching methods….

But may be there is another reason.

Have you ever asked yourself the question….

Could it Be Me?

What? My fault? No way!

But wait a minute. Rather than blame everything and everyone else for not learning to speak English, have you taken a good look at yourself?

Now I am not asking you if you worked hard enough OR did your homework every week OR learned all the boring grammar rules that were given to you……

I’m asking you IF you know the reason why you need to learn English?

Let me ask that again….

Do You Know The Reason Why You Must Learn To Speak English?

Without a powerful reason why, you will not succeed.

I am being serious.

If you don’t know your end game (dream job, travel the world, make new friends), you won’t get past GO!

Think about that for a minute. If you are learning to speak English by just going through the motions (because everyone else is doing it), then you will fail PERIOD.

Find out your reason why.

It may be just the difference between you making a huge change in your life OR a life of English Speaking misery.

Hi there!

To get to know a language properly, you need to understand that language’s use of idioms! Hmmm. Are you confused? – let me explain.

An Idiom – which means ‘Special Phrasing’ in Greek – is an expression that contains a figurative meaning but is unusual grammatically – an example is ‘Breaking the Ice’. The literal definition does not communicate any meaning.

The individual words that form the idiom do not convey the same meaning when they are used together as an idiom.

Idioms are present in almost all languages but they become meaningless when translated from the one language to another. As a result a person who does not know the idiom and only understands the meaning of the different individual words will easily become confused. This is supported by the fact that any non-native to the language will not be able to understand the idioms used.

Idioms are a part of daily speech and used to convey a meaning quickly and are often easy to use and learn. You must learn, however, the group of words that form an idiom and recognise idioms when you hear them or read them. You must do this in order to use them in a context that conveys the underlying meaning that you wish to communicate. They should be used carefully in a way that they add flavour to your writing and speech; using too much, however, will result in diverting from the original meaning that it was intended for. There are often context clues in the idioms that suggest the hidden meanings.
