Learn To Speak English: Your Everyday 30 Minute Plan

Learn to speak EnglishIt’s Poppy here… today I wanted to spend some time talking to you about the importance of having a daily plan to help you learn to speak English. I know you’re excited about learning to develop your English speaking skills. I hope you’ve already spent some a lot of time learning all the methods and lessons that I have already sent you.

This article is important. I want you to switch off any distractions (email, telephone, etc.) and read the rest of this article very carefully.

It will make the difference between SUCCESS AND FAILURE in your spoken English training.

I recommend the following schedule to get the most out of your English training:

  • 30-60 minutes of English training and practice every day. That’s right every day.
  • Take one whole week to complete each of the lessons that I have sent you. Repeat each lesson as necessary.
  • Make sure that you concentrate 100% on the learning AND the listening AND the practice.

We all lead busy lives. So whilst you’ll start off your English training with the best of intentions…. very quickly all that urgent ‘must-finish-today’ stuff may just stand in the way between spoken English success and misery!

You need to focus on the important things and ELIMINATE the urgent things. Important is your spoken English training. Urgent is the pesky report that you need to complete for your boss, but keep putting it off.

Inspired English Program BannerTo shift from urgent to important you need to plan each day and ensure that your learning to speak English is an integral part of it.

So here’s your 5 Step Plan to Developing your Spoken English Skills every single day….

  1. Before you go to bed, spend 15 minutes writing down the 3 things you need to achieve the following day. One of these things MUST be related to your Inspired English training.
  2. Ensure that it is YOU who defines your daily agenda – not your boss or your friends or your family. Don’t get distracted through useless activities such as email, mobiles phones and other social media. You’ll save huge amounts of time. Make sure you keep at least one hour aside every day for your English training.
  3. Plan your week in advance. Know what is hot and what needs to get done and what can be delayed or even discarded. You must avoid last minute panics (urgent items) at all costs. It is these panics that take you away from your spoken English training.
  4. Develop a morning productivity ritual. This is a really interesting concept. What it basically means is start the day doing productive things. This will set the foundation to ensuring you have a successful day. Examples include spend 15 minutes exercising or practicing your English first thing in the morning.
  5. Remain focused and committed to your English speaking training. Nothing else matters. Small distractions take you away from your long term goal. You cannot develop your spoken English skills if you are not practicing your spoken English skills. Simple!

Hope this helps!

I recommend you now spend some time writing down how you are going to incorporate your English speaking training into your daily schedule. Make sure you make the plan VISIBLE so that you can review it every day. You need to commit and then you need to complete.
