Do you have a written plan of what practice you must do every day to get to the English speaking level that provides you with the confidence to ‘change your world’. Do you stick to your plan every day? If not, why not. What are those little things that are stopping you from getting to where you want to get to? Spend 30 minutes right now writing down your daily plan. Write down the obstacles you have on a daily basis that stop you practicing. What are you going to do? Are you going to let those small obstacles become the VERY REASON as to why you DON’T succeed in developing excellent English speaking skills.
Who are you accountable to? Who knows what you are trying to achieve by learning to speak excellent English. If you keep it to yourself, then you are only accountable to yourself. That often leads to failure because it’s so easy to make excuses to yourself. It’s not so easy to make excuses to someone else though. Do you have a friend or member of the family who you can be accountable to? – someone that you can tell your dreams and goals and problems and frustrations; someone that can motivate and inspire you when you are having difficulties with your English learning. I know from experience that having a ‘mentor’ can be the difference between success and failure. Which do you choose?
